The Portland Rose Festival will add 40 comfort stations -- AKA Porta-Potties – along the two miles of the CareOregon Starlight Parade, and the Grand Floral Parade routes. The Festival is grateful to receive a grant through Prosper Portland Events & Film Office Community Event Grant program that serves more than 100 organizations. With this grant the Festival will once again help provide relief to the dedicated fans who line Portland streets downtown, and on the east side. For more information click here:
“We’re proud to be able to again offer parade-goers relief along the parade routes, and alleviate the burden on businesses, as we did pre-pandemic,” said Marilyn Clint, Rose Festival CEO. “We’re grateful for the grant support from the Prosper Portland Events & Film Office. For fans that spend hours on the streets, this is a message that everyone can take comfort in; Stay hydrated and know that we've got you covered.”
The comfort stations will not be set-up in the viewing areas along the parade route. Fans will be able to find the treasured amenities every few blocks, just off the route on connector streets and within a block of the pink honor line.
