Subaru Partners with The Portland Rose Festival Foundation and Meals on Wheels People to Serve Meals to Portland-Area Veterans

Organizers at the Portland Rose Festival were excited to announce that Subaru had been named the Title Sponsor of the 2023 Portland Rose Festival Fleet Week. As a part of the partnership, Subaru, Meals on Wheels People and The Portland Rose Festival came together to serve meals to local home-bound veterans.

On June 9 - amidst the backdrop of the Fleet Week events along Waterfront Park - seven local Subaru Dealers teamed up with Meals on Wheels People volunteers and The Portland Rose Festival Fleet Week Chairman, Peter Mack, to deliver meals to veterans throughout the greater Portland area.

"We're thrilled to have partnered with Meals on Wheels People and The Portland Rose Festival to serve meals to local veterans," said Chris Borquist (General Manager from Subaru of Portland) “And we're grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community as a part of Subaru’s Love Promise commitment."

“Meals on Wheels People is grateful for the opportunity to provide nutritious meals to older adults. We appreciated the support and outreach of the area Subaru dealerships to provide a memorable experience and special recognition to veterans as part of Portland Rose Festival Fleet Week,” said Kevin Carrillo (Chief Development Officer at Meals on Wheels People Portland).
