There's Still Time to Be a Clown!

The Rose Festival's award-winning Amtrak Cascades Character Clown Corps is STILL accepting applications for the 2010 season!
The deadline has been extended, so don't miss out.

Applications are now due Friday, March 26, 2010.
Graduate clowns will participate in numerous festival events, including Amtrak's National Train Day on May 8 and the KeyBank Grand Floral Parade on June 12.

Rose Festival to Announce 'Gold Medal Winners' -- Our 2010 Court!

The skates are off, the boards un-strapped, and the skis put away as seventy-five high school juniors and seniors now wait rink-side for the final results to be announced. From Monday March 1 - Friday March 19, fifteen Portland/Metro area students will be selected to step onto the highest podium and represent their schools as Princesses of the 2010 Rose Festival court. For the second year, Metro area high schools will be represented on the court. A student from one of five outlying schools in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties will be selected in a special ceremony at Hollywood Theatre, Monday March 15. The first round winners from the Metro category represent Glencoe, Aloha, Sherwood, Tigard and Sunset High Schools.
