Grand Floral Parade Tickets Available for the Holiday Season
November 27, 2013
Give a gift of ROSES -- and Making Memories -- with tickets to the Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade! Rain-proof tickets will be on sale November 28 (Thursday, Thanksgiving Day), to view the Grand Floral Parade at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Saturday June 7, 2014.
The only major parade in the country to pass through a building offers spectacular close up views of the award winning floats, equestrian units and marching bands -- as they begin the 4.2 mile route through downtown Portland. Ticket holders inside the Coliseum can catch the regal Queen's Coronation presented by Pacific Power at 8:30 a.m. just prior to the parade.
Grand Floral Parade indoor reserved seat tickets are $30 and include the Queen's Coronation. Outdoor prices are $30 for premium chairs and $25 for reserved bleacher seating (all ticket purchases are subject to handling fees). Tickets are available on-line at this website, at the Rose Quarter Box Office or you can charge by phone at 1.877.789.ROSE (7673).
Tickets go on sale Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2013 (at 8:00 a.m.).

Positions Available -- Potential Rose Festival Princesses Apply Now!
October 30, 2013
Hannah Rice admits she did not know much about the history of the Rose Festival Court program. She was under misconceptions that it was a popularity contest or beauty pageant, but she still felt it would be a good chance to improve her speaking skills, so she took a big step outside her comfort zone and applied for the 2013 Court. A few months later Hannah Rose Rice of Madison High School was crowned Queen of the Portland Rose Festival for 2013.
"I am a very different person than the apprehensive senior who applied last December. I have found my voice, purpose, and an incredible group of friends I am proud to call my sisters," says Rice (now a freshman at the University of Oregon). "I have learned that there is no image that a 'Princess' must fit. She should simply strive to be passionate, genuine and kind. I am so grateful that I learned these lessons, and I can't wait to see a brand new class of young women learn them as well this spring."
Deadline for turning in applications is Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Junior and senior high school students from Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties interested may apply.
Message from the Rose Festival President
It's an honor and a responsibility to take on the role of Rose Festival President from my predecessor, Sue Bunday. I realize I'm following in a line of committed men and women who have led the Board of Directors of the festival since 1907, and this is not something I take lightly.
